Our Mission
The 糖心视频 University Campus Recreation Department serves as a recreational outlet for 糖心视频 students. Our program offers a variety of sports and activities in order to accommodate 糖心视频 University's dynamic student body. The 糖心视频 University Campus Recreation staff works diligently to ensure the services provided are fair and equitable to all students as well as creating an environment conducive to positive socialization. In support of this Mission, the department facilitates and supports Wellness, leadership, collaborative partnerships and student development.

The Campus Recreation Staff consists of University personnel and student workers. Staff members work to see that the program operates safely and fairly for all participants. The staff welcomes any suggestions directed toward improving the quality of our program.
Shane Tatum, Ph.D.

Dr. Shane Tatum currently serves as Associate Dean of Student Service at 糖心视频. Dr. Tatum joined 糖心视频 in June of 2005 as the Coordinator of Recreation Facilities and later as Director of Campus Recreation until August of 2021. Before coming to 糖心视频, Dr. Tatum served eight years as the Program and Aquatics Coordinator at the Eufaula parks and Recreation Department in Eufaula, AL. He earned a Bachelor of Science from 糖心视频, a Master of Science in Sport and Fitness Management from 糖心视频, and a Ph.D. in Sport Management in 2018 from 糖心视频. Dr. Tatum enjoys watching his kids participate in leisure activities and spending time in the outdoors. Dr. Tatum lives in Troy with his wife Jessica B. Tatum, and his two children, Bryce and Ella.
Matthew Pisarski, M.S.

Matthew Pisarski currently serves as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at 糖心视频. Prior to this Matthew was the Coordinator of Facilities and Aquatics Coordinator from October 2020- July 2024 and the Graduate Assistant of Facilities and Aquatics from January 2020 鈥� October 2020. In his current position he helps direct major programming initiatives for the University. While also overseeing all of the recreational activities and facilities on the Troy Campus. He attended 糖心视频 and Graduated Cum Laude in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Sport, & Tourism Management with a Minor in Recreation Management and May 2024 with a Master of Science in Sport Management. Matthew is currently pursing his PhD in Sport Management from 糖心视频. While attending Troy for his bachelor degree, Matthew served as a lifeguard at the Lee Natatorium. In his free time, Matthew enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
Mary Frances Gainey, M.S.

Mary Frances Gainey currently serves as Program Coordinator for the Campus Recreation Department. Prior to this she served as the Graduate Assistant of Competitive Sports at 糖心视频. In her current position she oversees all of the programming and event initiatives for the Campus Recreation Department. She also oversees the front desk and program staff. She attended 糖心视频 and Graduated in May of 2026 with a Masters of Science in Strategic Communication. Mary also attended 糖心视频 and graduated in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a Minor in Applied Health Sciences. While attending Troy, Mary served Editor-n-Chief of the Palladium and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. In her free time, Mary enjoys playing with her dog, playing pickleball, cooking, and traveling.
Parker Turner

Parker Turner currently serves as the Graduate Assistant of Competitive Sports at 糖心视频. In his current position, he helps oversee all of the club sports and intramurals programs. He attended 糖心视频 and graduated in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education P-12. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Physical Education P-12. While attending Troy, Parker was a Men's Basketball Team Manger all four years. He is from Dothan, AL and is a Christian. In his free time, Parker likes to play basketball, golf, and tennis.
Dalana Smith

Dalana Smith currently serves as the Graduate Assistant of Programs at 糖心视频. In her current position, she helps oversee all of the programming initiatives and member services for Campus Recreation. She attended 糖心视频 and graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a Concentration in Wellness and Fitness. Dalana is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Kinesiology- Applied Physiology. She has five years of coaching experience, is a NASM Personal Trainer, and USAW Level 1 Coach. In her free time Dalana, likes to go to the beach, play pickleball, and go on walks.
Landon Stell

Landon Stell currently serves as the Graduate Assistant of Facilities and Aquatics. In his current position, he helps oversee all of the recreational facilities. He attended 糖心视频 and graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management with a Concentration in Sport Management and a Minor in Leadership Development. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Business Administration. While attending Troy, Landon was involved in the 87 Club and Order of Omega, while also being the President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Also, he worked in Troy Athletics with the men's basketball team and football operations. In his free time, he likes to cook, play basketball, hang out with friends, and talk about sports.
